🏆 Sports Day: More Than Just Medals
Our 2025 Sports Day was a joyful celebration of participation, teamwork, and determination. Held on a sunny Thursday in June, the event welcomed families and staff to a full day of activities on the school field, all aimed at bringing out the best in every child.
Pupils took part in a range of events including sprints, sack races, obstacle courses, javelin throws, and the ever-popular egg-and-spoon challenge. This year, we introduced a House Relay Championship, allowing pupils from different year groups to work together for their house team in a fast-paced series of team races.
A special mention goes to our Year 6 pupils, who helped set up the stations, supported younger children, and acted as excellent role models throughout the day. Their enthusiasm and maturity were widely praised by staff and parents alike.
There was also plenty of fun for grown-ups, with a light-hearted parents’ tug-of-war and a refreshments stall run by our wonderful PTA. The day concluded with an awards ceremony recognising achievement, effort, and sportsmanship — with special certificates awarded for encouragement and perseverance.
Sports Day reminded us that success isn’t just about winning — it’s about taking part, supporting one another, and celebrating everyone’s efforts.
